I am in control of my feelings. I don’t have to yell and shout or be angry when someone crosses me. I can control the situation calmly.
Even though I know God and He’s real in my life, how can I get a one-on-one, really close, personal relationship with Him? I have friends who seem to have it, and I envy them sometimes. But no matter how hard I pray and study my Bible (and I don’t understand half of what I read), that kind of relationship doesn’t happen for me. Do you think the devil has anything to do with this? 
Q: I look awful. Nothing I wear looks right. I’m so fat! There’s no way I’m going swimming this summer—everyone will laugh at me! If I only had Khakira’s body… What should I do? 
“I’m sorry,” I said as I broke eye contact. “I can’t marry you tomorrow. The wedding is off!” Sobbing, I ran up the stairs and headed for my bedroom. Brad, my fiancé, stood frozen at the foot of the stairs.
I’m a healthy, virile, 18-year-old male. Since we’re not supposed to have sex, what are we supposed to do with our sexual drives and urges? Some people suggest masturbation, but the church looks down on that, so what should we do? 
Does God really want us to go to heaven and be with Him forever? Won’t He get bored or tired of us?
Going through the checkout at nearly any store today, you will notice a prominent topic on the magazine displays – beauty. Articles promise tips on becoming the hottest girl around, covers exhibit sensuous bodies, proclaiming beauty. And guess what, teen girls? It’s marketed at us. Clothing, make-up, all manner of body care products, hairstyles, etc, etc, are targeted at us. 
Who’s going to be left behind when Jesus comes?
Brandon’s grandparents were planning a drive around the island during their holiday visit, stopping at interesting places along the way. Brandon’s sister was going and so were his cousins and aunt and uncle. But—and a big but—Brandon had accepted the part of an angel in the musical his church would be presenting Christmas weekend, and the last rehearsal was during the trip. It would be so much fun to go, but he was supposed to be at the rehearsal. |
